Coach Ian O’Hearn – Mercer Island High School Head Coach through 2015, and currently the Mercer Island Program Director, Coach O'Hearn has been with Mercer Island Lacrosse since 2002. Coach O’Hearn lead the Islanders to five DI state titles in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2011 & 2015. His teams have played in the DI state championship game in 11 of his 14 years as head coach. Coach O’Hearn grew up in New York and played college lacrosse at the University at Albany. His hard work and dedication to the local lacrosse scene is unprecedented. He is a longstanding member of the WHSBLA state board, owner of Northwest Lacrosse, helps operate walax.com and plays an important role in the Space Needle Shootout and the Summer Solstice Shootout. Recently he spearheaded the local NW's Best college recruiting day.
