Brian started playing lacrosse in 1999 for the Maple Valley Vandals (now Tahoma Lacrosse) in the club's inaugural season. He was the only freshman on the team. Brian credits his older brother Tyler for dragging him out to a practice on a rainy day in March to try this "new sport" being offered.
The teams of 1999 and 2000 went on to win back to back state title's in the "B" division (eventually Division II).
Brian went on to play collegiately at Sonoma State University from 2003-2006. Brian was a 2 year captain for the Cossacks and was elected to first team "All WCLL " and "All American" teams during his junior and senior seasons. Brian keeps in close contact with many of his college teammates. In 2011, Brian was a voted into the Sonoma State Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
In 2014, Brian was named Washington's Lacrosse Prep Coach of the Year (link to article).
Currently coaching at Skyline High School, Brian now lives in Maple valley with his wife Randi and two sons: Talan (Tahoma class of 2029) and Easton (Tahoma class of 2031.)
